Mentoring Workshop:
Students work from their own photo reference. An opportunity for the continuing student to have Baumgaertner oversee the creation of their portrait. 8 student limit
5-Day Plein Air Workshop:
Intense study of value, temperature, and control of the rich color of the Colorist portrait, Based on the Cape School principles. Block Studies, the colorist palette and color theory will be covered. 8 paintings on Masonite boards.
10 student limit.
3-Day Charcoal Workshop:
Students create three charcoal drawings and have the opportunity to work in the sauce medium. All material for the class is provided. 12 student limit.
7-Day Oil Portrait Workshop:
Open to all levels. Students paint one model in the morning and a second model in the afternoon. There are two, four-hour portrait demonstrations and a five-hour marketing round table discussion. Please note that this workshop extends over eight days. 12 student limit
13-Day Oil Portrait Workshop:
The first seven days of curriculum mirror the 7-Day Oil Portrait Workshop. During the second six days, the student will paint one long pose oil portrait. 12 student limit
6-Day Long Pose Portrait Workshop;The students will paint one long pose oil portrait. This session affords the student the time to take a painting to completion. 12 student limit
11-Day Advanced Workshop:
During the first six days, the student will paint one long pose oil portrait. The second five days is a mentoring workshop. 12 student limit
Baumgaertner Portrait Atelier:
Allows the student to have a continous portrait education starting with the 3-Day Charcoal Class, 7-Day Oil Portrait Workshop, the 6-Day Long Pose Portrait Workshop, and the 5-Day mentoring workshop. The student will complete a total of seven portraits and have the opportunity to study with Sculptor Mike Martino.
