Block Study: Setting up the study and drawing, painting lit and shadow, local color, handling top surfaces and reflected light.

Plein Air Portrait: Setting up the model, painting lit and shadow, refining color, painting the sky and clothing (the challenges of painting white and blue), planes of the head, modeling, placing the features and finishing the portrait.
